Remote Deposit Disclosure

Funds Availability:
For images received before 3:00 p.m. Central Time on a business day, it will be credited that day by 4:00 p.m. If PCCU receives the image after 3:00 p.m. Central Time or on non-business days, the funds will be credited the next business day by 10:00 a.m. Central Time.   (Once your check deposit is accepted, please write “processed” on the check to avoid a duplicate deposit).

PCCU reserves the right to make funds deposited using this service available only after PCCU receives payment for the funds from the bank the deposited check is drawn against. PCCU may make the funds available sooner based on such factors as credit worthiness, the length of your relationship with us, transaction and balance history, and other factors that PCCU deems relevant.

This Agreement contains the terms and conditions for the use of Prestige Mobile Deposit and EDeposit and/or other remote deposit capture services that Prestige Community Credit Union (PCCU) may provide you (User). Other agreements you have entered into with PCCU, including the Membership and Account Agreement and Disclosures governing your PCCU account are incorporated by reference and made a part of this agreement. The remote deposit capture services (Services) are designed to allow you to make deposits to your checking or money market account from home or other remote locations by scanning or capturing images of checks and delivering the images and associated deposit information to PCCU or PCCU’s designated processor. There is currently no charge for the Services.

Acceptance of Terms:
Your use of the Services constitutes your acceptance of this Agreement. This Agreement is subject to change from time to time. We will notify you of any material change. Further, PCCU reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to change, modify, add, or remove portions from the Services. Your continued use of the Services will indicate your acceptance of any such changes to the Services.

You agree to properly endorse any item or check transmitted through the Services. Failure to endorse the item or check properly will result in PCCU not accepting the check for deposit. (Sample endorsement would be For Deposit Only then sign your name as check is made payable to – if account styled differently sign again as account styled) You also must write your account number on the back of the check.

Limitation of Service:
Some services may have qualification requirements, and we reserve the right to change the qualifications at any time without prior notice. We reserve the right to change, suspend, or discontinue the Services, in whole or in part, or your use of the Services, or your use of the Services immediately and at any time without prior notice to you. When using the Services, you may experience technical or other difficulties. We can not assume responsibility for any technical or other difficulties or any resulting damages that you may incur.

Eligible Items:
You agree to scan and deposit only checks as defined in Federal Reserve Regulation CC. You agree that the image of the check transmitted to PCCU shall be deemed an “item” within the meaning of Article 4 of the Uniform Commercial Code. You agree that you will not use the Services to scan and deposit any checks or other items as shown below:

Items or checks that are payable to any person or entity other than you
Items or checks that are not payable in United States Currency
Items or checks that are drawn on banks that is outside of the United States
Items or checks that are dated more than six months prior to the date of deposit
Items or checks that you know or suspect have been altered or suspect are fraudulent

Image quality:
The image of the item transmitted to PCCU using the Services must be legible. The image quality must comply with the standards set forth by the Federal Reserve Board.

In order to use the Services, your account must be in good standing with the credit union and opened for at least 60 days. Members with Fresh Start Checking are not eligible to utilize these Services.

We reserve the right to reject any item transmitted through the Services, at our discretion, without liability to you. We are not liable for any items we do not receive. Please log into online banking to verify that your check has been deposited into your account.

Transmitted Items:
Once you have received confirmation from PCCU that we have received the image of your item, you agree to mark the item as “Processed” or “Void” so the item will not be reused. You also agree to never re-present the item to PCCU or any other financial institution.

Deposit Limits:
We reserve the right to impose limits on the amounts and/or number of deposits that you transmit using the Services and to modify these limits as deemed relevant.

Hardware and Software:
In order to use the Services, you must obtain and maintain compatible hardware and software as specified by PCCU. See for current hardware and software specifications.

You warrant to PCCU that:

You will not deposit or represent the original check
You will transmit only eligible items listed in “Eligible Items” section
You will not transmit items that have knowingly been altered
You agree to indemnify and hold PCCU harmless from any loss for a breach of this warranty. Any loss caused to PCCU as a result of a breach of these warranties will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
